Resulting in a fusing together Apple and CinnaMon by sticking a cinnamon stick through the center of apple with both of their legs at the bottom of their body. In 2007 the company tried to retire Bad Apple and CinnaMon, but fans protested. After a little legal trouble CinnaMon and Bad Apple were characterized as highly competitive friends, getting into the bowl together. Even though Bad Apple tried so hard to stop him. CinnaMon was always trying to outshine Bad Apple, by reaching the bowl of Apple Jacks first. 2004 rolled around and Apple Jacks introduced a carefree Jamaican cinnamon stick named CinnaMon and an accident prone apple named Bad Apple. “We eat what we like” was the following years slogan featuring children enjoying Apple Jacks regardless of the lack of apple favor. They aired for twenty-one years, making them the most well-known Apple Jacks mascots. Apple Jacks jingle became an essential part of the ad campaign: “A is for apple, J is for Jacks, Cinnamon-toasty Apple Jacks!” The campaign was retired in 1992. Commercials showed the kids singing and tumbling around. Eleven years later in 1971, the official mascots became ” The Apple Jack Kids”, who were a drawn animated boy and girl duo. Later that year “Apple Car”, was made out of a car with pieces of cereal for wheels. The very first Apple Jacks mascot in 1960 was “Apple Guy”, who was made out of an apple and had a hat and pieces of cereal as eyes. Recently Apple Jacks had introduced Apple Jacks Crashers that was inspired by the mid 2007 advertising when Bad Apple and CinnaMon were accidentally fused together. The summer of 2005 green O’s changed appearances yet again this time to look like figure-8’s for a short period of time. In December 2003, due to a marketing promotion green O-shaped pieces turned blue and were shaped like carrots. 1971 “Apple Jacks” was created by advertisers and was described by Kellogg as a “crunchy, sweetened three-grain cereal with apple and cinnamon.” Originally Apple Jacks were all orange and O-shaped, however in 1998 green O-shaped pieces were introduced. “Apple O’s” is the original name created in 1965 by William Thilly.
